Inmigration.
Such a hard topic to talk about with so many angles and points of view.
A better life, a film by director Chris Weitz and story by Robert L. Simons depicts the life of an illegal immigrant father trying to make enough for the day and taking care of his teenager son born in the US… a must see, as the billboard says.
In Mexico this film passed unnoticed until Demián Bichir was nominated for the U.S. Academy Awards as Best Actor.
Ilegal inmigration is a world problem. It is not just about Mexicans moving illegally to the US or Africans moving to Spain or Turks to Germany and so on..
It is actually looking for a better life. Just like 20,000 thousands years ago the indians crossed the Bering Strait or the english came to North America in the 16th century.
So the question arises, when will the right time come for a better life and when will others let that be? Perhaps in an uncharted land?
I still wonder.
